About me
Weekend walker usually walk alone but would like some company (male). I have enjoyed the challenge of planning walks and going out alone but have probably slowed down because of this. I like to take my sketch book if weather allows-recently Scafell Pike from Seathwaite, about 10 miles- took me 8 hours. I have done 142 'Wainwrights' ranging from lower to the highest. I would like to do more in south and west Lakeland and would probably be more inclined to drive further if I was going with someone. I can plan a route and find my way back to the car despite not being very good with a compass. Non- smoker and enjoy the odd glass of wine. I live in North Cumbria, work full time, am separated and have several other interests.
Availability for walks
I love walking and am always ready for weekend walking if weather allows. I don't do torrential rain gales or deep snow! Though I like to tick off the Wainwright fells some I have walked several times. I now amd picking off the remaining peaks but still have my favourite fells. I like the idea of using 2 cars to do a linear walk over several summits. This year I'd like to try longer walks over a mountain range. and walk in areas close to Cumbria.
